Mingze Xi is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the CSIRO Data61 Immersive Environments Lab, Quantitative Imaging Research Team. He is also a Conjoint Lecturer at The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Before joining CSIRO, he completed his PhD in Computer Science, at The University of Newcastle (Australia). During 2012-2013, He was a research postgraduate at Durham University, UK.
Mingze has extensive experience in upskilling primary industry workers with next-generation human-computer interfaces. His main research interests include wearable computing, augmented/virtual reality, interactive visualisation, user experience (UX) design, computer vision and deep learning applications for agriculture, skill training and assessment, asset tracking, logistics and smart building
